TMC for X privacy policy

TMC for X, Chrome extension · Version 2026-10-12

Scope

This policy covers the TMC for X Chrome extension. It has one purpose: to let you buy on TMC a coin you see in a post on X. The TMC site and terminal are covered by the Privacy Policy.

What it reads

  • The text and links of posts shown on x.com, to find Solana coin addresses and links to coin pages. The text of a post stays in your browser: only the coin addresses it finds are used.
  • It does not read your direct messages, your X settings, your X account details or your cookies, and it does nothing on any site other than x.com.

What it sends

  • To TMC's API: the coin addresses found in the posts on your screen, to ask whether TMC knows each coin and to get its name, image and market data for the button. These requests carry no account, no cookie, no key and no post text. Like any request, they arrive with your IP address, which TMC uses to rate limit. The answers are kept in memory for about a minute.
  • To the TMC window, when you click: a one-time ticket, a random number that works once and for 15 seconds. The window claims from the extension which coin and which of your three amounts it should buy.
  • From the TMC window back to the extension: the outcome only, such as bought or refused, with a short reason. It never contains an address, a balance or a key.
  • Nothing else, to no other server. The extension is built so that it can connect to TMC's API and nowhere else.

What it stores, and for how long

  • In your browser, by the extension: its own settings and the three amounts of your active preset, which are not secret, to label the button. They stay until you remove the extension. Tickets are kept for the browser session at most, and are useless after 15 seconds.
  • In your browser, by TMC (the storage of tmc-terminal.com): your switch, your two limits, the list of buys made from X in the last 24 hours (amount and time), and the tickets already used, kept 24 hours so that none works twice. This is per account and per device. Only TMC's own pages can read it: the extension cannot.
  • On TMC's servers: the extension stores nothing. A buy made from X is a normal TMC trade, and appears in your activity like any other.

Removing the extension deletes its data from your browser. The TMC data above stays until you clear the site data of tmc-terminal.com. How TMC treats trades and account data is in the Privacy Policy.

Permissions

  • Read and change your data on x.com: needed to read posts and place the button. It is the only warning Chrome shows at install.
  • Storage: for the settings above. Chrome shows no warning for it.

It does not ask for access to tmc-terminal.com, to all sites, to your tabs, your history, your cookies or your clipboard. If an update added a permission that comes with a warning, Chrome would turn the extension off until you approve it.

No tracking, no advertising

The extension has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no fingerprinting. It does not sell or share data, and it uses what it reads for nothing except its purpose above.

Your control

  • Turn buying off in TMC: My Account, then TMC on X.
  • Turn the extension off or remove it from the extensions page of Chrome.
  • Clear the site data of tmc-terminal.com to erase the TMC data listed above.

Privacy questions or requests: pro.tmc.com@gmail.com. An extension called TMC that asks you for a code, a password or a secret phrase is not ours.

Changes

If the extension starts to read, send or store something new, this page changes with it and the version above changes too.
